Although I was wearing browns today, I decided to depart from being matchy-matchy, which I had started doing and just go with a feeling..and this day it was pink..

I am deciding if I am going to post my outfit too.. hmm..

My Birthday

So June 1st is my birthday, and I decided to go for my absolute favorite color which is green. I wish I new exactly what I did here, but it is literally impossible for me to replicate any of these looks. But I was really happy with the outcome!

Blogging..on again..

So........I haven't blogged in a while. A lot's been going on and I haven't really been in the blogging mood. But I have been looking around on a lot of different blogs lately; fashion, weight loss, makeup, etc and it has made me think about blogging again. It would be nice if I had a topical sort of thing going on, but I don't. So I will try to put labels for my posts thats the best I can do.

I am home for my mom's retirement party, which was really nice, I have to say, I am glad I came up to NY for it. Right now I am chilling in my parents house in Long Island, watching X-Man Origins - Wolverine. It is really good, however, it's a "production cut" which is why I am watching it at home AND the computer graphics haven't all been put in. So I can see the strings when people are doing stunts. Then some of the background scenery looks super fake.

Anyway, I am going to go now, Dad's outside BBQ'ing... I can't wait!

Missing In Action...

I know I have been M.I.A. and I haven't blogged in a really long time, not because I didn't have a ton of things going on, but because I wasn't sure how many of them I wanted to put out here..lol.. My life has been revolving around work, church, and dating. Which is what I was most hesitant to bring up. My dating life for the past few months has been somewhat of a relvolving door, but I guess that is what dating is. I have been making jokes about writing a book on my experiences with going out and meeting guys and going out on dates, because it seems almost fantastical the types of people I have come across.

 

So with that said, I guess i can't blog about it since it is material for my book, but suffice it to say if nothing else it will be entertaining.

 

But I think i will start blogging about my couponing, which is A-MAZING the amount of money I have been saving. I will put some of my deals up for you to see one of these days.  Muffin is in obedience school so that is funny, I might take a little video of how much she DOESN"T obey me now..hopefully it will be a good progression from disobedience to obedience...

 

We will see...

Thanksgiving '08

Thanksgiving '08 was fantastic. I had a great time. My mom, dad, their dog and sister drove down to see me and I cooked almost the entire meal. it was EXHAUSTING, but worth it. I also had a couple of my girlfriends come over.

My "boy-friend" didn't come because he isn't my boyfriend anymore, a story better left unblogged, but it's all good anyways. I am back on the dating scene and that is going good so far, so I will keep you posted if anything note worthy happens on that front. I spent Wednesday cooking all evening, got started at around 8pm.

Here was my menu: Turkey, Dressing, Chicken, Ham, Macaroni and Cheese, Sweet Potato Casserole, Green Beans, Okra, Fried Corn, Rice , Lemon Cake with (from scratch) Cream Cheese Frosting and ice Cream. It was wonderful, everyone loved it! Now I must say that I didn't cook the Ham, Fried Corn and Okra, but everything else was all me. I have posted some pics below for you to see:

The only bad part was that one of my girlfriends came later, after we had finished eating and I was asleep on the couch the entire time she was there.

But life is great, I can't complain at all, the job is good and secure (now) for the most part. I am back in my bowling league, I am also in a tennis group, but it is getting too cold for that now. The dogs are not getting along, but they are work, but I enjoy them. I am hanging out with old friends and new friends and having a great time in the process. I am having a Christmas party for one of the groups I am in this weekend. That should be a lot of fun. I will post some pictures next week.
